Words cannot really convey how great Eddie Upnick's imagination and command of the English language are. This author is the Jules Verne of this century. The reader is taken on amazing terrestrial, galactic, and intergalactic adventures, in a far superior way than what other writers of fiction have accomplished. Intelligent people, beware Page after page you'll realize that some of the fictional plot is already a reality this year. Vito, the main character,gives a detailed account of what may happen to Earth if leaders and countries disregard the importance of working together to preserve and save this planet. Praise to Eddie Upnick for giving the concience of the reader the opportunity to be part of the present, and to be involved in the future of this celestial body. Praise to Mr. Upnick for his elegant style and his choice of quotes and character development. This is a book that be must be read and studied more than once, translated into every language, and made into a film. Readers of all genres treat yourselves to the pages and the meaning of "Future Tense". You will treasure every aspect of the book, and will look forward, like me, to Mr. Upnick's future writings.
When I first started reading "Future Tense", I did not even realize that it was a sequel. I may have missed things by not reading the first book but this book was so good that it could very well stand on it's own. I loved the descriptiveness the author gave of his idea of what the future will look like. It was definitely a page turner and now that I have read "Future Tense" I will most definitely be going back to read "Time Will Tell" and I hope there are more books to come in this series.
This book is simply amazing! The characters are so well rounded! I read the entire book in a day because I just couldn't stop reading it. The story was so entertaining and entrancing; this would make for a great movie someday! I didn't realize though that this book was a sequel in a series, I am for sure going back and reading the first book now. Time travel is a big part of this book, oddly enough reminded me of Doctor Who in a way. Going and saving Earth over and over again reminded me of the Doctor in so many ways. That is not a bad thing though, the story line is unique enough that it didn't bother me at all! This book is a great read and I highly recommend it to everyone.
Future Tense by Eddie Upnick is a fresh new look at time travel and all that it holds to change history or the future. This novel finds Vito managing his classic car garage when he is approached by Secret Service agents to assist the President and Secretary of State with international negotiations. And the action just takes off from there. While on assigment he meets 2 terminally ill teens who will literally change his life. Using his state department connections he adopts the twins and brings them back to the states. His international travel soon becomes intergalactic travel as he and his family strive to save Earth. With clues left by his father in the future, he is able to put together the pieces to accomplish what his father could not.
Future Tense is a great read and will make fantastic movie with lots of action.
Time Will Tell was awesome, so naturally I was extremely excited about the sequel! In Future Tense we flash forward 20 years from Time Will Tell and here we learn the secret past of Clem Rizzoli's. What I thought was exciting is the idea that terminal cancer patients could have special powers! Because let's face it...that is like one upswing of cancer. True to his style Eddie Upnick develops his unique characters expertly and keeps you interested and wanting more at the end of the book. Upnick writes such riveting sci-fi books it leaves you pondering if it could really happen? He has a unique twist and outlook on the future. For anyone who is interested in what could come...I personally love time travel and theories like global warming so this was right up my alley, pick up this book...well read Time Will Tell first, then read Future Tense. It was a quick and entertaining read that now has me hoping there will be at least one more!
A fast reading page turner, hard to put down. Upnick has created memorable characters (of our world and others) that make you want to read on and find out what great adventures come next. Highly recommended!
I enjoyed this book so much that I'm going to read it again. I couldn't put it down once I started. Fast read and intense plot. I enjoyed the first book, "Time Will Tell" and hope there will be a 3rd in the series, or maybe, wait for it, a prequel! I highly recommend this book. The characters are described so well, and the intergalactic travel ideas were fascinating. I wish something like this were possible in our world today. Maybe it is......
